Which are the Best Healing Crystals to Ward Off Nightmares and Bad Dreams?
1. Amethyst (Stone of Spirituality, Contentment and Meditation)

While all amethyst crystals can help with sleep, I recommend deeper shades for stopping nightmares.

Chrysoprase is also great to use during meditation before going to bed.
3. Pink Calcite (Stone of Peace)

Other Tips for Using Crystals for Bad Dreams and Nightmares
The energetic vibrations of the crystals in this article can all dispel nightmares, but there are many ways to use them. Here are a few ideas:
- Meditating before bedtime is a great way to relax and prevent bad dreams. Hold a crystal for nightmares in your hand and choose a calm, worry-free image in your mind to focus on.
- Most crystals for nightmares can be placed under your pillow, beneath the mattress or beside your bed. If you’re a light sleeper, don’t put too many crystals together, as the combination of energy may keep you awake!

Avoid scary films or reading frightening stories during the evening. This fires up the imagination. Also, try to not let your room get too hot or too cold and avoid an evening coffee, as it can stay in your system for hours.
Which Angels Are Associated with Warding off Nightmares?
These are the angels I most associate with nightmares and night terrors. They help to ease worries and protect from negative, nightmare-making energies.
- Archangel Raphael - This angel is called the Master Healer and is the Patron Against Nightmares. As He resonates on the emerald green ray, use emerald or malachite when invoking Him.
- Archangel Michael - When invoking Michael for nightmares, use lapis lazuli, sugilite or blue kyanite. This angel’s name means ‘Who is like God’ and is the angel for courage and protection. He will help you to break the worry cycle.
- Archangel Raguel - When relationship troubles lead to emotional turmoil, nightmares can result. I use aquamarine when invoking this ‘Friend of God’ for stress-related problems.
- Archangel Chamuel - I invoke this angel when I’m feeling unsettled and it’s causing me to have nightmares. Use green fluorite, red jasper, pink tourmaline or chrysoprase with this angel. He will bring peace and comfort.
